11:10 Panel 1: Building a Modern Industrial Strategy
The panel will explore the opportunity for Wales to be a leading clean energy transition hub and a cornerstone of the UK’s industrial base. Wales has a strong industrial foundation, which is based around key primary industries — these industries are sources of high-value employment in Wales, as well as being contributors to the UK economy. We aim to address the health of these primary industries and how this is critical to the security of the UK’s energy supply, and to the country’s long term industrial resilience.

Session 2: Mobilising Wales for Delivery

13:00 Mini-hackathon | Fireside Chat (parallel sessions)
Attendees can choose to hear from our CEO, Ben Burggraaf, in conversation with Technqiuest and the Office of the Future Generations Commissioner about the legacy we want to leave for Wales in 2050, or they can take part in our mini-hackathon, in collaboration with Sweetmans & Partners, which will bring together people from across the decarbonisation and net zero space to problem solve and develop actionable solutions to the challenges facing us here in Wales.

Panel 2: Mobilising Wales for Delivery
This panel will focus on how to facilitate deployment of various clean and low-carbon energy projects across Wales. We aim to look at those projects that are currently in the pipeline and already ongoing and identify what we can do to ensure the energy transition is a success here in Wales.
